PAVAS Generate Simulated Wheel Pulse

This menu items controls the generation of a simulated wheel pulse. The pulse appears at the Speaker output. To utilize this pulse, two PAVAS units are required and a custom cable or a PAVAS breakout box. This diagnostic technique can be used to perform a complete checkout of the PAVAS operation from wheel pulse input to speaker output

The menu displays two values. The first is the wheel pulse distance which can be set with the cursor button. For accuracy it should be set to the wheel pulse distance (WPD) in the PAVAS unit under test. If the Right button is pressed from the last digit in the WPD, in the cursor will move across to the display variable display. This can be changed with the cursor buttons. PAVAS then calculates the frequency for the simulated wheel pulse and feeds the signal to the speaker output. This is connected to the PAVAS unit under test.

Press Select to exit the mode. The speaker output then reverts to the normal function.
