Targa Florio Running the Demonstration
The purpose of the demonstration mode is to provide experience of the modes of operation without running PAVAS in the vehicle. The object is to keep the controls as close as possible to an actual stage run mode but extra button modes are required. The demonstration menu name is Targa Florio Stage Demo. The Targa Florio Running Stage page should be read first to understand the Stage modes.
The Button Modes.
The only parameter that can be changed is the simulated vehicle speed. When a stage is commenced, the vehicle speed is shown in the top line of the display. The speed is increased by the Up and Right buttons. The Up button increased the speed by 5 KPH and the Right button increases the speed by 0.5 KPH. Likewise, the Down button decreases the speed by 5 KPH and the Left button decreases it by 0.5 KPH.
So the Select button performs the normal functions which allows for control the events within a stage.
Rotating Display Modes
At assist the navigator, PAVAS generates a rotating display of the stage parameters. These are tailored to each mode and can include Average Speed, Required Speed , Distance to Destination, Distance from Start and Time to Destination. The display changes parameter every two seconds. The manual override of the Run Mode is not active in the Demonstration mode.
